Adding Some WOW!

with reclaimed barn wood

Share

As we are nearing the new year, are you wondering what ways you can change your house without completely remodeling? One of our favorite ways to give a room that “WOW!” impact is to incorporate smaller amounts of reclaimed barn wood. We’re talking new shelving, a well-placed accent wall, or gorgeous reclaimed barn wood countertop for your island or media cabinet.

Sometimes just a simple change can make such a massive impact and completely change the overall vibe of the room.

Now, one of the simplest things to do is to install/hang shelving. This is an amazing addition to any room of your house. In the living room, you can use it to display your porcelain cat collection or photos of your family. They are a gorgeous addition to the kitchen, as well. If you’ve been diving into the latest kitchen styles on Pinterest, you’ve probably seen a ton of the open shelving concepts. And what a better way to do this than with reclaimed barn wood shelves? Both a functional and aesthetically pleasing way to display your cookbooks, tea pots, or your potted herbs.

Another way is by adding boxes made of reclaimed barn wood. We absolutely love this look on shelving units, or even as a storage container for blankets in the living room. And we fully support things that add that gorgeous splash of reclaimed barn wood AND are also functional & organizational at the same time.

We have had a ton of requests lately for custom countertops, and not just for the kitchen. We’re talking in the kitchen and even a media cabinet in the living room. The custom countertops are a lovely way to incorporate reclaimed barn wood into the pre-existing aesthetic of your room.

And last, but definitely not least, is the accent wall. We don’t think there will ever be a day when we aren’t floored by a beautiful, reclaimed barn wood accent wall. They don’t need to be a full accent wall. We have installed accent walls in indented sections and even above a countertop. It’s a neat spin on the typical painted accent walls.

If you have questions about a project or are ready to get started, give us a call! We are excited to work with you!
